Looking for a Zurich life insurance app in the UK? Zurich's Life Protection key features and its Manage my life insurance page point customers to a web-based customer portal, phone lines, email and post: what they show is a portal, not an app. Below are those routes and what Zurich says about keeping a policy up to date.

Thinking about fresh cover alongside an existing Zurich policy? For a free phone chat about it with an FCA-authorised broker, leave a name, age band, phone, email and postcode in the form on this page.

Does Zurich have a life insurance app in the UK?

The key features of the Zurich Life Protection policy (print code NP720500009 02/25) list the customer portal at www.zurich.co.uk/customer-portal, alongside www.zurich.co.uk/life-insurance/claim, as the online routes in the section on making a claim. Both are web addresses, not an app download.

How to register for the portal, and whether Zurich has a downloadable app for existing life customers, are questions for Zurich, using the contacts further down this page.

If you came here after trying another insurer's app, the position differs from one company to the next: see the Legal & General app and My Account, My LV= and its phone lines, or Vitality Member Zone and the Vitality app.

What is on Zurich's Manage my life insurance page?

Zurich keeps a hub for existing customers at zurich.co.uk/life-insurance/manage-life-insurance. An archived copy captured on 30 September 2026 opens: "Find information on how to make a claim, how to update your details, or see how your funds are performing."

The page splits readers in two, by whether the policy number starts with the letters PR or does not. It says where to find the number if you are unsure: "If you do not know your life insurance policy number, you can find it on your annual statement or policy documents."

Beneath those two entries the archived copy lists further topics:

  • how to set up and operate a power of attorney;
  • how to set up a letter of authority;
  • appointing or transferring a financial adviser;
  • putting life insurance into trust;
  • thinking of leaving Zurich;
  • a wellbeing section with links named Empathy Loss Support and Zurich LifeVault.

Each opens a page of its own on Zurich's site. For trusts, what a life insurance trust is explains the idea, and how to cancel a Zurich life policy covers the leaving-us route.

If your Zurich policy was arranged through an HSBC UK protection adviser, HSBC's life insurance claims page sends Zurich policyholders to this same hub.

Which phone number, email or address does Zurich print?

These are the contacts printed in Zurich Life Protection's key features (NP720500009 02/25). The phone, post and email routes are given for contacting Zurich before you buy, and the last two rows for making a claim, so for a policy you already hold, check your own policy papers or Zurich's site first: numbers and hours change.

The same document says you can ask for large print, braille or audio copies, and it offers to introduce a sign language interpreter. Keep your policy number to hand whichever route you pick.

Can you change your address, payments or cover with Zurich?

For an address change the key features say: "It’s important that we keep in touch so if you change your address or any of your contact details, please let us know." The update-your-details part of Zurich's manage page is the online starting point; for a change of name, ask Zurich which proof it needs.

Premiums: "We’ll collect your premiums by direct debit." You can pay monthly or annually unless your policy has an option that runs to a specific birthday, in which case monthly applies. If you stop paying, the cover and policy end. Letting a direct debit lapse is therefore different from cancelling, and the cancellation page has the detail. The document also says to tell Zurich if you move abroad.

Once a Zurich Life Protection policy has started, the key features list changes you can ask for, including increasing or reducing the amount of cover or the term, and a premium review if you have stopped smoking. Two cautions come with them: "Depending on the change you ask for, we may need to ask you about your health and personal circumstances to assess if we can make the change." The document adds that changes are likely to change your premiums.

For a joint policy where a couple have separated, the key features say you may have the option to cancel and start individual policies for one or both of you without giving more health details; what happens to a joint life policy after divorce covers that in full. The full terms and conditions are sent when the policy starts, according to the key features, so a missing copy is a reason to contact Zurich.

What if you are dealing with a Zurich policy after someone has died?

You do not have to learn how a portal works before making contact. The key features say: "To make a claim, you, or the person dealing with your affairs, should contact us using the details below." The claims phone and claims email in the table above are the routes given for that, and the key features list the customer portal for claims too.

What Zurich asks for, how long it takes and who is paid are set out in how a Zurich life insurance claim works. Zurich's manage page also links to Empathy Loss Support under its wellbeing heading, and that page is where to see what it offers.

When you are ready to look at cover for yourself or someone close to you, the Zurich life policy guide sets out what its policy offers, and how to get life insurance quotes lists what insurers ask. Whenever you feel ready, this page's form is a quiet way to arrange a chat with a broker.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Zurich customer portal for life insurance?

It is Zurich's web portal at www.zurich.co.uk/customer-portal, which the Life Protection key features list as an online route for making a claim. For sign-in help, or to ask what else it shows, contact Zurich.

Is there a Zurich life insurance hotline?

Zurich Life Protection's key features print 0370 850 5682 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, excluding bank holidays) for contacting Zurich before you buy, and 0370 240 0073 for claims. For a policy you already hold, check your own papers for the current number before you ring.

Can I email Zurich about my life insurance?

The key features give life.service@uk.zurich.com for contacting Zurich before you buy and zurichmulticlaims@uk.zurich.com for claims, with letters to PO Box 4157, Swindon, SN4 4QB. Your policy papers show the address for an existing policy.

What do I do if my Zurich policy paperwork is lost?

Zurich's manage page says the policy number is on your annual statement or policy documents. If neither turns up, phone or write to Zurich to ask how it can trace the policy, and for a copy of the terms, which it provides when a policy starts.
